A case of a seven-year-old Taiwanese boy, who was slammed to the floor 27 times during judo practice by his trainer and classmate, going to coma has shocked Taiwan and has drawn criticism over what critics say is a culture of showing lack of action against children abuse in the country, reported BBC.

In April, the seven-year-old boy who goes by the name Wei Wei* convinced his parents that he wanted to have judo lessons. And in two weeks of classes, unfortunately, the judo lessons are the reasons why he is currently fighting for his life as he is likely to stay in a vegetative state even if he survives.

A disturbing video emerged that shows Wei being pinned and thrown into the mat by a senior classmate during practice. As the class continued, he was heard yelling “my leg!”, “my head!”, “I do not want it!”, but his trainer kept on ordering him to stand up as he asked the senior student to throw him.

When Wei was too weak to get on his feet, the trainer himself picked him up and slammed him against the floor several times. After a point, Wei started to vomit, but the trainer did not stop, reported BBC. His family claimed that he was slammed for at least 27 times in total. Wei consequently passed out.
