Sanna
Marin
, 36, the Finland Prime Minister, courted controversy after a video of her
dancing and partying was leaked
and then viral on social media. In the video,
the Finnish PM is seen wearing a black dress and dancing her heart out. She is accompanied
by fellow member of Parliament Ilmari Nurminen, 31, and media anchor Tinni Wikström.

Footage of
Marin dancing had many on social media say that this was irresponsible on her
part while there were others who have come out in support of Finland’s youngest
prime minister.

Reacting to
local news reports that there was talk of cocaine in the background in the
videos that showed Marin dancing, Mikko Karna, a Finnish MP, has called upon the
prime minister to take a drug test and release the results in public. “The
people are also allowed to expect this from their prime minister,” said Karna.

The video
of Finland PM Sanna Marin dancing is provided below. The video is sourced from
the internet and OPOYI has not independently verified the authenticity of the video and takes no responsibility for the same:

Sanna
Marin, following the controversy, called a press conference on Thursday. There
she said she was only dancing, celebrating and had done only legal things.
Marin also lambasted the person who published the footage saying: “I trusted
that since the videos are private and published at a private event, they would
not be published. It feels bad that they have been published.”

This is not
the first time Sanna Marin has landed in controversy over partying. In December
2021, Sanna Marin was slammed after a video emerged showing her dancing after a
colleague of hers tested positive for the coronavirus. While she had not broken
any prevailing rules, Marin was lambasted by critics. She later apologised
saying: “I should have used better judgement and also checked the instructions
I received. I am sorry I did not understand this.”
