A Ukrainian man was seen interacting with Russian soldiers on the side of a rural road and offering them a lift back to their homeland, in a video.

It shows the man coming across a Russian vehicle, which looks like a tank. There are a few soldiers gathered there and the man reportedly asks them if they’re broken down. When they reply that they’re out of fuel, the man jokingly quips if he can tow them back to Russia.

This draws some laughter from the soldiers. Then, the Ukrainian proceeds to question the soldiers where they’re headed. One of them says to Kyiv and asks the man what’s being said on the news. As their conversation continues, the Ukrainian says that he’s asked an entire column and nobody seems to know where they’re headed.

The video then shows the Ukrainian driving away, before coming across another pickup truck and tank at the side of the road.

The Russian entry into Ukraine comes after months of troop buildup at the nation’s borders. Despite repeated Russian insistence that Moscow had no plans of launching an attack, things came to head when President Vladimir Putin recognized the breakaway regions of Ukraine as being independent. Then, he sent in the Russian army as a peacekeeping force and announced his plans to “denazify” and “demilitarize” Ukraine

The attack on Ukraine has brought forth some remarkable tales of individual courage. This includes the Ghost of Kyiv, Ukraine’s own Tank-Man, and the soldier who blew himself up along with a bridge just to impede Russian progress.

Even as the assault continues, NATO members have pushed back hitting Russia with heavy sanctions. However, they do not seem to have had any effect, and fighting has almost reached Kyiv, the capital city. For now, it remains in Ukrainian control. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine was offered the chance by the US to evacuate. However, he decided to stay and fight with his country, saying that he needed ammunition, not a ride out of Ukraine.
