Disney Plus’ latest original series Ms. Marvel will premiere on June 8 with new episodes releasing every week through July 13.
The series introduces the first Muslim superhero into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and features the story of a teenager, Kamala Khan who grows up admiring superheroes and eventually gains her own powers. The series begins with Kamala struggling through high school until she receives a magic bangle to unveil cosmic powers. The series will also focus on the cultural and religious aspects of Kamala’s character.
Ms. Marvel will be exclusively available on Disney Plus from June 8. However, the series will not be available free of cost and new members will have to opt for a paid subscription. Disney Plus subscriptions cost $8 a month and $80 for an annual ad-free subscription. The platform plans to introduce a cheaper ad-supported alternative by the end of the year.

The series’ first season has six episodes and new episodes will be released every Wednesday at 12 a.m. PT/ 3 a.m. ET. Ms. Marvel will stream in 4K HDR along with Dolby Atmos audio and can be played on all compatible devices.
Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel while other cast members include Matt Linz as Kamala’s best friend and Aramis Knight as Red Dagger.

Marvel Entertainment has also shared the trailer for the series on Youtube, which has already created excitement amongst Marvel fans. Comments include “I’m so gonna binge it”, ”So pumped for this show. Hope it’s well made”, etc.
This the second series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to be released on Disney Plus. Another MCU series; “She Hulk: Attorney at Law” will premiere later in August.
