A video that captured two women taking down vigils, which were held in memory of the Israeli women, children, and elderly who were kidnapped recently went viral. The two women involved in the incident have been identified as Colleen Topping and Luci Hornbeck.

Colleen Topping and Luci Hornbeck have been named as the women engaged in the event. As per media reports, Colleen Topping is a visual artist. While Luci Hornbeck works at a coffee shop. After their video went viral several people questioned the way of their protest. As it symbolized disrespect to the people who had been kidnapped and murdered in the October 7 massacre.
The video of the incident went viral and many X users reacted to it. One user wrote, “This type of evil needs to get called out. The minute you start supporting the mass murder of families and children, torture of children, and mass rape, you cross a line and should be shunned by decent society.”

“Send them to Gaza and let them find out if Hamas respects their pronouns.” another user expressing anger at their act said.

Even though the video showed their fervent opinions on the conflict, it has spurred debates about proper modes of protest in the face of continuous geopolitical unrest.
