A picture showing Russian bridge player Mila Antonova and Russian spy Anna Chapman has been released by Daily Mail, implying links between the two women.

Antonova was alleged this week to have been the former lover of billionaire Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates – as well as an associate and financial beneficiary of the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

It is still unknown whether the 67-year-old Microsoft CEO was aware of a probable connection between Antonova and Chapman, the daughter of a former KGB officer.

Chapman was born in Volgograd, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union on 23 February 1982, and is the daughter of a senior KGB official. In 2001, she met a British citizen, Alex Chapman, at a rave party in London, and they married shortly thereafter in Moscow, and she gained British citizenship. In 2003, she moved to London and worked at NetJets, Barclays, and a few other companies for brief periods. While she was in the UK, she was recruited by the Russian government as an SVR officer, and she was believed to have organized sleeper cells in the country.

Chapman filed for divorce from her husband in 2006, and in 2009, she relocated to New York City using her British passport. She relocated to 20 Exchange Place in Manhattan, one block from Wall Street, and assumed the role of CEO of PropertyFinder LLC, an international real estate website. With assistance from the FSB, she turned her firm around from one that was in debt to one that had 50 people.

The “Illegals Program” she participated in included her in spying efforts in the USA, which the FBI investigated into. She was detained after refusing to hand over a false passport to another sleeper agent as told by an FBI informant, choosing to turn it in to an NYPD police station. As part of a prisoner swap involving the US and Russia, Chapman was deported to that country on July 8, 2010, and Britain revoked her citizenship.

Her arrest came less than a year after the then 53-year-old Gates first met Antonova, in the somewhat unlikely setting of the North American Bridge Championship tournament in Washington DC in the summer of 2009.
