Authorities have detained a man suspected of shooting a woman on Monday morning at an apartment complex in Toronto’s east end. The man is identified as Brian O’Donnell. He is currently being prosecuted on a number of counts, including attempted murder.

The suspect rode a bicycle to the intersection of Eastmount and Cambridge Avenues, according to the Toronto police. The incident allegedly started when he then reached for a gun and fired at the victim.

Who is Brian O’Donnell? 

Brian O’Donnell is 60 years old. The suspect rode off on a bicycle after the gun incident at the Toronto apartment building. The police posted pictures of the suspect and asked the public for help in identifying him in an effort to catch him.

The authorities announced a breakthrough in the investigation on Wednesday after finding and apprehending the culprit. Brian O’Donnell, 60, has been named as the shooter.

The shot woman, who is thought to be in her 50s, is seriously hurt but not in danger of dying. As per media reports, she has been recognized as the building’s property manager by the residents.

In connection with the shooting event, Brian O’Donnell is charged with attempted murder as well as multiple other serious offenses. Aggravated assault, two counts of illegal possession of a restricted firearm, disguise with intent, negligent storage of a firearm, and possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition are among the offenses listed here.

The motive behind the shooting has not been disclosed as of now. The police are still investigating the incident.
