Nine new Loki’s are going to make an entry in the Marvel series. But who is the Kid Loki? The caped Loki with the largest horns is %u201CClassic Loki,%u201D played by Richard E. Grant who is also expected to show up as Mephisto, even back in WandaVision.

In bold yellow and green with a Kermit-the-Frog-like collar outfit, Richard%u2019s Loki is a dead ringer for the version of Loki who reigned as devilish king over Marvel%u2019s Thor mythos for decades. If you have known Loki from the MCU or Marvel Comics after Agent of Asgard, it%u2019s tough to separate the Tom Hiddleston of it all from the character.

Grant%u2019s portrayal of Loki has shaped the modern characterization of the God of Mischief for years. Classic Loki, survived Thanos’ rage in his timeline’s Avengers: Infinity War. He faked his death instead of attacking the Mad Titan by isolating himself for many years. While he successfully escaped Thanos, he eventually grew tired of hiding and admitted to missing Thor.

He attempted leaving his hideout, only for the Time Variance Authority (TVA) to step in and arrest him. Unfortunately, he didn’t have a lot of time to reveal further information about his story, but it’s clear that all his years in isolation take a toll on him.

Towards the end, Classic Loki is seen sacrificing his life to help Loki and Sylvie defeat the Alioth. While there’s always a chance that he resurfaces as Lokis are popularly known to survive, in this case, his death seemed permanent based on his headpiece that was left lying on the ground. It’s quite safe to say that many Marvel fans would be excited to see his Nexus event on screen.
