Following his comments on Kris Jenner, popular American rapper Kanye West launched attacks on sports apparel brand Adidas’ Senior Vice President and General Manager Daniel Cherry III. Ye’s outrage on Instagram was a result of him feeling Cherry hijacked his clothing brand, Yeezy. 

Yeezy, which is a clothing line, has a collaboration with Adidas and is called Adidas Yeezy currently. Both Daniel Cherry III and Kanye West have been instrumental in the success of the brand. However, West has recently perceived that Adidas is putting him off in managing the collaboration, and he thinks it is because of Daniel Cherry III.A

Who is Daniel Cherry III?

Daniel Cherry III is the global Senior Vice President and General Manager of Adidas, who is currently working in the company’s Originals, Basketball and Partnerships division. Before his current position, he was the SVP and Basic Supervisor of DC Comics, a subsidiary of Warner Media.

Cherry has also been the CMO of Activision Blizzard Esports, where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s operations throughout the world for action gaming.

The Adidas official started working for the company in January 2022 in his current role. He was at DC Comics between September 2020 and January 2022. He is also a part of the Monday Evening Mentorship Board of Mentors, which he joined after leaving DC Comics. The institute is a membership group for people working in sales, promotions and advertising.

He has huge experience in shopping analysis, sports activities, leisure selling and several other things. 

Cherry began his promotions career when he joined Crispin Porter + Bogusky in 1999. He was an influential founding member of fact.com, which is an anti-tobacco platform that promotes and advertises marketing campaigns into it.

While his present wealth is not accessible in the public domain, an Adidas SVP in Individuals and Tradition is paid $192,358 every year. He is also a University of Pennsylvania alumni and is married and has two children.

Cherry is also the Chief Advertising and Innovation Officer of the New Jersey Devils, who have won the Stanley Cup three times. The marketing maverick also relaunched New York Cosmos, which is associated with Brazilian legend Pele, and was responsible for their promotions and advertising.
