Errol Musk is the father of the world’s richest man, and SpaceX and Tesla CEO, Elon Musk. The 76-year-old is a South African electromechanical engineer, pilot, and sailor. Despite having some scandals in his life, he’s considered a notable engineer of his time.
Musk was born in 1946, in Pretoria, Transvaal, South Africa. He’s been an engineering consultant and real-estate developer and also had a stake in an emerald mine in Zambia.
Errol was first married to Maye, with whom he had three children – Elon, Tosca, and Kimbal. After divorcing Maye, Errol married Heidi, who had two children of her own, and the couple stayed married for 18 years, during which Heidi gave birth to two of Errol’s children – Alexandra and Asha.
One of Heidi’s children from her previous marriage, Jana, also had two children with Errol, and the Musk family patriarch confirmed the news of the second child only recently to The Sun.
He and Elon were reportedly estranged, but in an interview sometime back, Errol claimed that the two had made up.

The South African shares his son’s view about having children. Elon, notably, believes in a population collapse. Errol, for his part, told the British tabloid, “The only thing we are on Earth for is to reproduce. If I could have another child I would. I can’t see any reason not to. If I had thought about it then Elon or Kimbal wouldn’t exist.”
Musk also claimed that numerous women say that he’s the father of their children but they’re opportunists.

“There was [a] period in Johannesburg in the eighties that I was going out with different woman every night. I had plenty of dates. So it’s quite conceivable that one of them could actually come back and say, this is your child. It’s possible. But I haven’t had anything genuine presented to me. But I’ve got a lot of people claiming”, Errol told The Sun.
