Christopher, the couple’s only child, passed away in 2003 at the age of 16 sometime before their marriage ended. The suspected murder allegedly occurred on July 24th, which is also the day Christopher was born in 1987.

Suter, 66, lived less than a mile from his ex-girlfriend in an £800,000 house with a view of the sailing-friendly Solent. Suter, a former Green candidate for the local council, had been divorced from Ann for more than 20 years—since before their son passed away—and had subsequently remarried while continuing to live in the same neighborhood.

He spoke just to confirm his name and birthdate. He has an appointment with Winchester Crown Court today.

On Monday, Blackwood was discovered in the secluded Crofton Cemetery in Stubbington, Hampshire. She was attended to by paramedics at the scene, but she passed away shortly after the police were called.
