According to the statement, the girl was rapped at an address in East Lothian, Scotland. The Guardian reports that the girl further said that she did not tell anyone about it as Coulter allegedly threatened to “beat her black and blue” if she did.

Who is Martyn Coulter?

Martyn Coulter, 36, is an officer of Police Scotland, according to multiple news reports.

He is currently suspended from the force and has multiple allegations of rape against him.

The Guardian reports that Coulter is charged with raping and sexually assaulting and threatening a girl under the age of 13. He is further accused of raping a woman and assaulting her thrice between June 2013 and November at an address in Edinburg.

Coulter has denied all the charges against him and reports say that he has launched a special defence in which he says that he was in England on a military training course when the incident happened.
