Juventus’ entire board of directors resigned late on Monday, forcing the club to put together a new management framework. Key members such as president, Andrea Agnelli, vice-president Pavel Nedved, and managing director Maurizio Arrivabene have all resigned in an extraordinary meeting held on the evening of November 28.
The Bianconeri have been under scrutiny from investigators regarding alleged financial irregularities, including illegal capital gains and the wages paid for the players during the coronavirus pandemic which were reportedly hidden from the released balance sheets.

Pavel Nedved is a Juventus legend who made 327 appearances for the club between 2001 and 2009. The 50-year-old was appointed to the Juventus board in 2010 and became vice president five years later.

Who is Pavel Nedved?
Nedved is a Czech former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is known as one of the most successful football players to emerge from the Czech Republic. He won domestic and European accolades within Italian clubs Lazio, including the last Cup Winners’ Cup, and Juventus, whom he led to the 2003 UEFA Champions League final.

Pavel was born on August 30, 1972, in Cheb and raised in Skalna. At the age of five, he started playing for his hometown club Tatran Skalna in 1977. He made his league debut for Lazio on September 7, 1996, in a 1-0 away defeat against Bologna. He scored his first league goal for the club against Cagliari on October 20, 1996, closing the 1996-97 season with seven goals. He was one of the ten highest-paid footballers in the Italian league in 1999.

After five seasons with Lazio, Nedved moved to Juventus in July 2001 for 75 billion Lire (Euro 38.7 million by fixed exchange rate). He was a regular on Juventus’ 2001-02 and 2002–03 Scudetto-winning teams.
The midfielder was named World Footballer of the Year by World Soccer magazine in December 2003. The 2004–05 season was frustrating for Nedved as he was sidelined for two months by knee and head injuries.

Nedved started playing for Czechoslovakia’s national youth teams in 1988, representing his nation in the under-15 age group before progressing to 16, 17, and 18. In 1992, he made his first appearance on the under-21 team, playing seven games between 1992 and 1993.
In August 2009, he announced his retirement from his football career. He is considered one of the best midfield players in Europe. He is a foreign player who played for the longest period at Juventus. Nedved is the seventh best foreign goal scorer ever of Juventus.

Pavel Nedved got married to Ivana in 1992. The couple has two children, named Ivana and Pavel after their parents. The couple divorced in 2019 and the former footballer started dating an equestrian 23 years his junior.
