Catwoman Selina Kyle is a genius thief from Gotham City who has frequently collided with Batman. She is the world’s most famous thief and is one of the most recognizable characters in the DC Universe, not because she’s a superhero but because she’s brilliant at stumping. Kyle is now a longtime ally of the Batman Family. Matt Reeves, the director of Batman, has put out a new image of Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman/Selina Kyle ahead of the film’s impending teaser. Alongside Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne, Kravitz will play the legendary Batman role.

Catwoman (formerly dubbed “the Cat”) was presented by creators Bill Finger and Bob Kane as a jewel thief motivated solely by her passion for pretty and precious things in her early appearances, beginning with her 1940 debut in DC Comics’ Batman comic.

Writer Frank Miller redesigned selina Kyle in the late 1980s as a product of an abusive household who eludes state custody to make her way on the rough streets of fictional Gotham City, dabbling in prostitution before committing burglary.

The modern Catwoman also has a soft side, as she adopts and cares for a young prostitute. She has acted in some ways like Robin Hood, robbing the wealthy and corrupt while assisting the poor. Catwoman’s tangled connection with her antagonist, Batman, is a constant in all renditions.
