How many Loki is too many Loki? With episode 5, the second last episode, we have been introduced to a new bunch of Lokis. As shown in the episode 5 promo, apparently, nine new Lokis are to make their entry in the Marvel’s Loki series. Episode 4 has already revealed four variants of Loki %u2013 Old Loki, Kid Loki, Boastful Loki, and Alligator Loki. Apart from this, we also have a female variant of Loki aka Sylvie Laufeydottir. But, who is this President Loki?

Well, he doesn’t pop up in the first few episodes, but, the new trailer has confirmed the entry of President Loki. Check the trailer below:

According to Marvel comics, this shall be the most villainous Loki or an alternate version. Apparently, Loki isn%u2019t the only character Tom Hiddleston played in episode 5. He also stepped into the shoes of President Loki. Perhaps, the most arrogant and pompous Loki %u2013 President Loki %u2013 shows up expecting to take over the Loki Palace until his own army turns on him.

President Loki, the character is lifted straight from a short but well-received run from 2016, Vote Loki miniseries, where everyone’s favourite Asgardian plotted to take over the White House. His campaign platform argues that all of the candidates are liars and cheats, but he vows to boldly and proudly lie directly lie to the faces of Americans %u2013 a policy that makes him surprisingly popular. In Loki’s take on this variant, he appears to have won over a post-apocalyptic gang of ruffians and been made their ruler.

When asked about how Hiddleston felt about playing two Lokis, he told Marvel.com, %u201CAgain, that was quite surreal. President Loki is almost the worst of the bad bunch. It certainly felt this way; he’s the least vulnerable, the most autocratic and terrifyingly ambitious character who seems to have no empathy or care for anyone else.%u201D

%u201CDoing them both in the same scene was slightly mad, but in an enjoyable way. And fun, too, because it was about leaning into Loki as a pure villain, or his capacity to be a pure villain,%u201D added Hiddleston.
