A 19-year-old woman who was taken hostage by Hamas during the Surprise Attack against Southern Israel on October 7 has died, as confirmed by Israel Defence Forces.
The woman has been identified as Noa Marciano.

Who was Noa Marciano?
Noa Marciano was 19 years old. She was a part of the Israel Defence Forces and was abducted in a surprise attack on October 7.
As per media reports, Noa Marciano, a 19-year-old IDF soldier who was held captive by Hamas during the surprise attack on Southern Israel on October 7, has been officially certified dead by the Israel Defense Force.
The IDF claims that her family has been informed. Hamas, specifically the “Al-Qassam Brigades,” released a video claiming she was killed by an Israeli airstrike on Gaza on November 9th. Nevertheless, contradictory reports from Palestinian sources indicate that she might have died from repeated head wounds from her Hamas kidnappers.

In response to the terror group’s distribution of a film, the Israel Defense Forces sent delegates to the family of Noa Marciano, who is being held captive by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
The Marciano family receives condolences from the IDF, which also promises to support them and the families of the other prisoners going forward. The military is making use of every resource—intelligence and tactical—to ensure the hostages’ safe return.

According to the most recent information provided by Israel’s Foreign Ministry, 1,200 persons are thought to have been officially murdered on October 7 by Hamas militants. This is roughly 200 fewer than Israel’s earlier estimate. It should be noted that this figure is provisional and subject to change when more remains that were initially misdiagnosed are identified. There are still about 240 captives being held in Gaza. Israeli air and military operations on Gaza following the October 7 attacks caused a great deal of casualties; according to Palestinian health sources, around 11,000 people died.
