According to paperwork submitted to Companies House, broadcaster Stephen Nolan recently transferred all of the stock in his production firm to a company that is solely controlled by a well-known bookmaker.
The shares of Third Street Studios Limited, which had amassed assets of approximately £4 million, were transferred to a business run by Paul McLean, the managing director of McLean’s Bookmakers, at the end of March 2022.

Soon after, a contract was signed transferring Third Street Studios’ ownership of the company’s shares to Tsseot, which served as the trustee and “person of significant control.” On November 16, Nolan gave up his position as the company’s largest stakeholder and person with significant control in accordance with this arrangement.
Vincent Paul McLean, a professional accountant according to public documents, is the only director and owner of Tsseot. The headquarters of McLean’s Bookmakers, also known as BetMcLean, which is located on Lisburn Road, is located at the same address as is indicated in the records.
In a statement, Nolan expressed his delight that the staff would receive guidance from one of the most successful entrepreneurs in Northern Ireland. He mentioned that Third Street had been approached by an industry leader in London to explore potential associations in developing programs for the national and international markets.
This opportunity arose due to the significant audience success of Third Street’s prison series, such as “Nolan Inside Hydebank” for the local audience and “Boys Banged Up” for the BBC3 network, which resulted in high iPlayer activations.
Nolan acknowledged that while there is a chance for the company to grow, the journey ahead will be challenging, especially considering that he is turning 50 years old this year.
