Yevgeny Prigozhin, the man who founded Wagner, will have his insurrection case dismissed and go to Belarus, according to Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
Additionally, Peskov stated that no charges would be brought against the Wagner mercenaries who took part in the uprising. Contracts will be signed by those who declined to take part with the Russian Defense Ministry, he noted.

Reorganizations at the Defense Ministry, he claimed, had not been addressed with Prigozhin. The founder of Wagner has demanded the ouster of Valery Gerasimov, the general staff’s commander, and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
The counterterrorism operation that was started as a result of the uprising will shortly come to a conclusion, Peskov warned.
Sergei Shoigu, President Putin’s longtime defense minister, has been blamed for the Russian army’s shortcomings ever since he sent tanks into Ukraine last year.
Yevgeny Prigozhin has been his harshest critic. Prigozhin has referred to Shoigu and Valery Gerasimov, the chief of the general staff, as “scumbags” who “burn in hell” in a series of harsh remarks in recent months. Prigozhin demanded yesterday that Shoigu and Gerasimov be handed over to Wagner. Although it is uncertain where Shoigu is, last night there were rumors that he had been sacked.
