The Broadway play Death of a Salesman was disturbed by a heckler at
the beginning of Act 2 on Tuesday, December 27, but Wendell Pierce
handled the situation calmly.

Arthur Miller’s play, Death of a Salesman which is being played at
the Hudson Theatre, 44th street was disrupted by a woman.

She interrupted the lead actor Wendell Pierce and started abusing him
because of which the actor walked off the stage.

The woman casually started walking towards the stage and started
shouting at Wendell. To this, the American actor guaranteed her to give a
refund if she wants but she didn’t listen to him. The rowdy woman kept on
shouting at Wendell. Instead of arguing with the woman, the actor walked off
the stage.

Police officers then went to the woman and escorted her to the
exit. Although the audience was disturbed because of the woman’s interruption, everyone
cheered in the background as the woman was taken out by the officers. The play
then resumed Act 2.

The play is being played on Broadway for the first time from an
African American family’s perspective. The running time of the play is almost 3
hours along with an intermission.

The play’s first preview in the year 2022 was on September 17. The
play’s opening was on October 9, 2022, and will be performed till January 15,
2023.

The play has tried to portray the dark vulnerable side of America’s
dream and the promises of equality and opportunities for all.

The play is considered one of the best plays of the 20th
century. The play premiered on Broadway at the Morosco Theatre in February 1949.
The play gave a running of 742 performances and has been revived four times on
Broadway.
