Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani made headlines on Friday, September 16, when he briefly became the second-most richest person in the world, as per Forbes’ real-time billionaires’ list data. However, he returned to third place after some time, leaving second place to Louis Vitton’s Bernard Arnault.
Gautam Adani is married to Priti Adani, who is a dentist, philanthropist and chairwoman of the Adani Foundation. Priti is also regarded as one of the most famous educators in the Indian state of Gujarat.

Who is Priti Adani?
Priti Gautam Adani is a dentist, philanthropist and chairwoman of the Adani Foundation. She is married to Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani and the couple has two children, Karan Adani and Jeet.
Priti was born in 1965 to a Gujarati family in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She pursued a bachelor’s degree in dental surgery from the Government Dental College in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She married Gautam Adani later, who is currently India’s richest person and the third richest in the world.
Priti began her career as a dentist, however, was appointed the chairperson of the Adani Foundation in 1996. She has since worked extensively in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Following the Bhuj Earthquake in 2001 in Gujarat, Priti began the Adani DAV School in Mundra, the name of which was changed to Adani Public School later. Priti, along with her husband Gautam, started Adani Vidya Mandir in Bhadreshwar and Ahmedabad in June 2009. The school is known for providing high secondary education at no cost to underprivileged children.

Priti was instrumental in increasing the Adani Group’s CSR budget from INR 96 crore to INR 128 crore in the 2018-19 fiscal year from the previous year. Her work has also been recognised widely since she received the FICCI-FLOW Women Philanthropist Award in 2010-11 and an honorary PhD degree by Gujarat Law Society University.
Priti Adani has also been instrumental in Adani Group’s meteoric rise to the top of Indian markets, along with her husband Gautam Adani.
