JEE Advanced 2020 admit card, dress code, things to carry: All you need to know

  • A total of 1.6 lakh candidates have registered for the JEE-Advanced
  • Nearly 98% of candidates appearing have been allocated exam centres from their top three choices
  • Applicants must carry their JEE-Advanced admit cards along with photo identity proofs to the centres

Only a few hours are left for the commencement of the JEE Advanced 2020 exam, aspirants must make sure that they have all the required documents and other things ready with them.

Excluding those last-minute syllabus rehearsals, students have to make sure and carry the stuff they will need during the exam. Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) is scheduled to be held on Sunday.

Total candidates

A total of 1.6 lakh candidates have registered for the JEE-Advanced, a senior official of IIT Delhi said, as per PTI reports.

Exam Centres

The JEE 2020 is being held under unprecedented circumstances. JEE-Main was postponed to July 18-23 due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

However, nearly 98% of candidates appearing for JEE-Advanced have been allocated examination centre from the top three choices of cities made by them during registration, according to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. 

The official claimed that the number of exam centres has been increased from 600 last year to 1000 and the number of exam cities has also been increased from 164 to 222.

Admit Cards

The applicants will be able to download the JEE-Advanced Admit Card till 9.00 am on Sunday.

Firstly, all candidates are required to fill the COVID-19 Self Declaration (Undertaking) on their JEE Advanced admit cards.

All applicants must ensure to carry their duly filled JEE-Advanced admit cards along with photo identity proofs to the examination centre. They should also to carry a passport size photo same as on the admit card, ID proof.

Things to carry

Students must carry masks, gloves, sanitiser with them. They should also avoid carrying any metallic objects inside the exam hall.

Watch or any other gadgets are also not allowed.  

They may carry a water bottle with them.
