Fans believe Selena Gomez began following Hailey Bieber on Instagram after Bieber called out to her and revealed that she had received death threats on social media from Gomez’s fans.

The conjecture follows Gomez’s recent Instagram post in support of Hailey Bieber, the wife of Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. In the story, she disclosed that Hailey Bieber informed her about receiving “death threats and such hateful negativity” from Gomez’s fans.

1.In an implicit defense of Hailey, Gomez subsequently asked her followers to be ‘kind’ after the incident.

During an Instagram Live, Gomez said she was “grateful for the response to the song,” but she would “never stand for women tearing other women down,” according to Cosmopolitan.

“Please be kind to everyone,” she advised. “Please be kind; I don’t like it when people are disrespectful or rude to other people, so don’t do it.”

2. Gomez supported Madison Beer in 2020 after she faced criticism for dining with Hailey.

Although Gomez was celebrating the release of her album “Rare” and Hailey and Beer were out with other friends, Elle claimed that Gomez, Hailey, and Beer were all at the same restaurant in Los Angeles one night in January 2020.

Beer denied rumors that he, Hailey, and Gomez had an argument at the eatery that were spread on Twitter, according to Elle. Some of Gomez’s followers started to torment Beer after Gomez unfollowed him on Instagram.

“These rumors are gettin insane. I just had dinner with my friend Hailey of ten years. And that’s it? How is that a crime? I love Selena… Always have. And I would literally never in a million years try to upset her??? This is just mean and unnecessary and nothing happened. Gomez stepped in and intervened by remarking on Beer’s post and re-following her.

“This is disgusting reading all of this. This wasn’t intentional whatsoever. I’m so disappointed that people would speak to someone like this. “I have known Madison since she was a baby and watched her continue to become the woman she is. There is no issue,” Gomez wrote, per Elle.

3. Gomez seemed to stand up for Hailey in the wake of the “Call Her Daddy” incident.

A day after the podcast’s release, Gomez stated, “I believe some of the things that I don’t even need to be aware of are just vile and disgusting. And it’s unfair, and nobody should ever be addressed in the way I’ve witnessed.

The remarks seem to be directed at some of her fans who, as Insider previously reported, were bullying the Biebers after the incident.

4. Gomez defended her and mentioned Hailey and Kylie in a “I love you” remark on a TikTok video.

A video defense of Gomez by TikTok user @sarahinsunlight, who referred to Hailey and Kylie as “mean girls” and “nepo babies,” was uploaded on February 22.

According to Insider, Gomez wrote on the video, “I love you.”

5. Gomez denounced “death threats” and “hateful negativity” against Hailey on Friday, March 24. 

Hailey had informed Gomez that she had been “receiving death threats and such hateful negativity,” the singer wrote in a note she shared on her Instagram story on Friday.
