The 73rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on September 19
The nominees for the 73rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards are all set to be announced on Tuesday. The nominations will be revealed in a live virtual event at 8.30 am PT/ 9 pm IST.

Emmy Awards, or simply Emmys, is said to be the biggest night in the American television industry.
The nominees in the marquee primetime categories will be announced by the father-daughter duo of Ron Cephas Jones and Jasmine Cephas Jones. Both of them had won Emmys last year, which was the first for both of them.

The duo will also be joined by Academy chairman and CEO Frank Scherma and president and COO Maury McIntyre.
The big night is scheduled for September 19 (Sunday). It’ll stream on CBS and Paramount+.
Cedric the Entertainer will host the 73rd edition of the Emmys.

After the COVID-19 pandemic forced last year’s awards to move online, this year’s event will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. However, a limited audience, comprising of nominees and their guests will be allowed.
To be eligible for this year’s award, a show must have aired between June 1, 2020, and May 31, 2021.
Also, those nominated in the actor or actress category can now request for %u2018performer%u2019 to be written on their nomination certificate and Emmy statuette, instead of actor or actress.
Last year, %u2018Schitt%u2019s Creek’ and %u2018Succession%u2019 were the big winners at the 72nd Emmy Awards.
