Actor Paresh Rawal tests positive for COVID-19
- Paresh Rawal asked all those who have come in contact with him recently to get themselves tested
- This comes a day after, actors Milind Soman and R Madhavan tested positive for the virus
- Maharashtra and Mumbai are currently experiencing their worst surge in COVID-19 cases
Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal on Friday tested positive for COVID-19. The 65-year-old confirmed the news on his Twitter account, and asked everyone who has come in contact with him recently to get themselves tested.
“Unfortunately, I have tested positive for COVID-19. All those that have come in contact with me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested.”
On Thursday, actors Milind Soman and R Madhavan tested positive for the virus, with a number of other celebrtities, like Kartik Aaryan, Manoj Bajpayee and Satish Kaushik also contracting the infection.
This comes amid a record surge in COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra and Mumbai. The state set a new high in daily case numbers, reporting a total of 36,902 new cases on Friday, as well as 112 deaths.
