Amitabh Bachchan collaborates with Bollywood celebrities for Independence Day song
- Amitabh Bachchan is again lending his voice to an upcoming Independence Day song
- The song is titled 'Hum Hindustani'
- It will see 15 celebrities humming to its tune
Amitabh Bachchan, on Wednesday, announced that he and some of his industry friends are going to release a patriotic song on Independence Day.
The song is titled ‘Hum Hindustani’ and will see 15 celebrities hum to its tune and lend their voices to its melody. The celebrities taking part in the project include Lata Mangeshkar, Amitabh Bachchan, Padmini Kolhapure, Anil Agarwal, Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher, Alka Yagnik, Shabbir Kumar, Shraddha Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Shruti Hassan, Tara Sutaria, Ankit Tiwari, Siddhanth Kapoor and Jannat Zuber.
Taking to Twitter, Amitabh Bachchan shared a small clip of the song and wrote, “T 3994 – Na Haare The Na Haare Hai .. #HumHindustani a song dedicated to all of you, from all of us .. Releasing this Independence weekend on 13th August”
In the video a flag can be seen being painted on the screen and then appears Big B speaking in bold and soulful voice, “Aaj Pura Bharat ye kehna chah raha hai.”
The song will release on August 13 under the record label Dhamaka Records and produced by Priyaank Sharma and Paras Metha.
Dhamaka Records took to Instagram to share the news and wrote, “Honored to release our much awaited poster with all of these legendary artists! Presenting “HUM HINDUSTANI”.

Only recently Tiger Shroff released his first Hindi song titled ‘Vande Mataram’ for Independence Day. Directed by Remo D’Souza and composed by Vishal Mishra, the song is sung by Tiger Shroff, as he flaunts his moves in the three-minute long video as well. The song ends with a message from Jaccky Bhagnani, “We dedicate this to the men and women of the Indian Defence Forces, we salute you today and everyday and to every Indian who celebrates and embodies the true spirit of India. You are everything that makes our country truly special.”
