Angelina Jolie visits kids who survived Russian missile attacks in Ukraine

Hollywood actor Angelina Jolie recently paid a visit to war-torn Ukraine and met people at a local medical institution and a boarding school in Lviv, according to Maksym Kozytskyy, the head of the regional military administration of the Ukrainian city.
Jolie, who is a UN Special Envoy for Refugees, “visited children who suffered from a missile strike by the Russian military on the Kramatorsk train station” and was “was very moved by their stories,” Kozytskyy said before sharing a wholesome detail that “one girl was even able to tell Ms. Jolie about her dream privately.”
The 46-year-old star also “promised to come again” to a boarding school in Lviv, Kozytskyy said, according to a report by CNN.

“She also took the time to talk to our volunteers who provide medical and psychological assistance at the Main Railway Station in Lviv. She thanked them for their work,” he added.
“She talked to people who managed to leave the zones of active hostilities. This visit was a surprise for all of us,” Kozytskyy shared.

On Saturday, Joung-ah Ghedini-Williams, the head of global communications of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees clarified that the actor “is traveling to the region in her personal capacity and UNHCR has no involvement in this visit.”
Earlier during the day, Jolie was spotted inside a coffee shop in Lviv. She was seen sporting a casual grey ensemble with a black backpack and signing an autograph for a Ukrainian fan.
A video of the actor inside the café was shared on Facebook.
“I just went to have a coffee, and it’s only Angelina Jolie. Ukraine is simply supported by the entire world,” reads the caption of the viral video on Facebook.
