As SP Balasubrahmanyam’s health declines, celebrities pray for him

Veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam who has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai due to COVID-19 is flooded with speedy recovery wishes from his fans and industry friends. 

Renowned music composer Ilaiyaraaja was heard saying “Come back soon” in an emotional video message circulating in social media.

Music maestro A R Rahman tweeted, “I request all the music fans to pray for this legend along with me. He has given us so much joy with his amazing voice!”

Actor Dhanush tweeted, “Please pray for SPB sir!”

Producer-cum-director Soundarya Rajnikanth tweeted wishing “Get well soon to SPB sir. 

Actor Prasanna tweeted, “My sincere prayers for S P Balasubrahmanyam sir’s speedy recovery!”

Music composer and singer, Devi Sri Prasad, tweeted, “Let’s all Strongly Pray to GOD for our GOD OF SINGING..S P Balasubrahmanyam sir. We all know U will come back STRONG & FINE. To bless our LIVES with ur DIVINE VOICE as always. Love U sir. Ur Health will be Perfectly Fine.”

Prasoon Joshi, lyricist and screenwriter, tweeted, “Prayers for the health and recovery of S P Balasubrahmanyam.

Film director and actor, Shekhar Kapur, tweeted, “Praying for the great singer S P Balasubrahmanyam on a ventilator with COVID-19.”

Film Producer, Boney Kapoor, tweeted, “Praying for the Speedy recovery of Legendary Thiru S P Balasubrahmanyam. 

In a statement released on Saturday by Dr Anuradha Baskaran, Assistant Director Medical Services of MGM Healthcare, she said, “Thiru SP Balasubrahmanyam who is admitted at MGM Healthcare due to COVID-19 continues to be on life support in the Intensive Care Unit. He remains stable and the doctors are closely monitoring his clinical parameters.”

On August 5, the singer had posted a video on his Facebook page, informing his fans that he has been tested positive for COVID-19.
