‘Bumrah bowled over by Sanjana’: Wishes pour in for the newly married couple

Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah got married to Sanjana Ganesan in a private ceremony. Wishes poured in for the couple, who announced their wedding on social media. (See Photos) Sharing photos of their wedding, they wrote, “Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you.”

Some of the Bumrah’s teammates tweeted their wishes for the couple, while several others commented on the bowler’s Instagram post of the wedding announcement. The ICC, the BCCI and the Mumbai Indians, Bumrah’s IPL franchise, also congratulated the couple. 

Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan commented, “Wishing you two a happy married life,” while, Yuzvendra Chahal wrote, “Congratulations to both of you.”

 Suresh Raina took to Twitter to wish the couple, he wrote: “Congratulations Jasprit Bumrah & Sanjana Ganesan. Wishing you both a very happy married life.”

The couple, as per reports, got married in a private ceremony in Goa as guests were asked to come without their phones at the function. 

Ahead of their wedding, Bumrah was released of the fourth and final Test match of India against England. The fast bowler had asked to be released due to ‘personal reasons,’ according to BCCI.
