Cardi B was once sprayed with champagne at a strip club in 2020 – an incident which is reminiscent of her recently viral video where she is seen hurling her microphone at a fan at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas, after the fan in question threw a drink at her.

The rapper was in Los Angeles on Saturday and was performing her breakthrough hit, Bodak Yellow when the incident took place. The rapper instantly retaliated by hurling her microphone back at the offending fan, who was then escorted out by security. Cardi B also had some colorful words for the offender. The rapper also briefly left the stage after the incident.

A similar incident happened back in 2020 when the rapper was performing in Miami strip club Booby Trap On The River. Her husband, Offset, was present at the same club. Someone from the crowd started splashing their champagne on Cardi B, TMZ had reported at the time.

As soon as he realized what had taken place, Offset jumped from a stage and launched himself into the crowd, punching the individual responsible for splashing champagne before the security intervened. Up till that moment, Cardi B and Offset were seen enjoying themselves at the venue.

Cardi B had shared at the time in an interview how being a stripper made her feel “on top of the world.” She also revealed that she was also often one of the most-requested dancers. “I felt like, ‘You’re judging me, but I’m making more money than you.’ I felt like nobody could shame me for being a stripper. When I started stripping, I was making probably $500 a night,” she said.

The songstress also added, “As I got bigger, I was making $2,000, maybe $5,000. When I got really popular on Instagram, I was making $7,000 to $10,000 a week. I felt on top of the world. I felt so untouchable and so s*xy, because there were rappers that all these girls lust over who would come to the strip club and request me to go to their section.”
