Cruise drugs case: Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan seeks bail before the sessions court

  • Khan filed the fresh bail petition the day the magistrate denied him liberty
  • It will come up on Monday at 11 am before Special NDPS Judge VV Patil
  • On Friday, a magistrate denied him bail on the ground that Esplanade court has no jurisdiction to hear his application

Aryan Khan, elder son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, will once again seek bail on Monday before the sessions court in a case pertaining to an alleged seizure of narcotic drugs from a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast, reports IANS.

Aryan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde, who has previously represented Rhea Chakraborty, had filed Khan’s bail plea again on Friday after a metropolitan magistrate’s court had rejected bail application, calling it ‘not maintainable’.

The case will come up on Monday at 11 am before Special NDPS Judge VV Patil.

The latest bail please of Aryan Khan is on grounds that he was found without any possession of drugs and that he has no association with the others accused in the case.

Earlier, the NCB had admitted that drugs weren’t found on Khan. The charge for attempting to consume and not even consumption attracts a fine or six months jail time.

Aryan spent the weekend in quarantine cells of the two prisons in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Central Jail along with the seven accused in the rave party raids and a source told told IANS that “they would not get any special treatment inside the prison.”

NCB raided a rave party raid aboard the Cordelia Cruise ship on October 2 and arrested Aryan along with more suspects on October 3 . The accused were kept for six nights in the NCB lockup in the central agency’s custody, in south Mumbai till they were sent to judicial custody on Thursday by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate R. M. Nerlikar, reports economictimes.

In the latest development, NCB raided film producer Imtiyaz Khatri’s office and home and asked him to appear again before the agency on Monday.
