The makers have released the original 5-minute prologue to Jurassic World: Dominion online, and it brings to the fans the franchise to all kinds of gigantic dinosaurs. The film will be released in theatres in the summer of next year, but the prologue will be absent.

The said prologue transports viewers 65 million years back in time to a world populated by dinosaurs before they perished. However, the return of the giant creatures and the ensuing destruction gives way to a glimpse of the world.

It all starts with peaceful and beautiful glimpses of a variety of dinosaurs – large and small, able to fly and those who feed on their own and others’ eggs. A battle between two giant dinosaurs, a T-Rex and a Giganotosaurus, is brought to light as they all coexist amid the expanse of nature and natural resources. The former is killed, and a mosquito feeds on its blood, recalling their beginnings in the first instalment.

Part two of the prologue takes place 65 million years later, when a T-Rex walks into an open theatre where several moviegoers are watching a film in their cars. The T-Rex is pursued by a helicopter, but it loses sight of it as it rampages through the city.

The prologue was well received by Jurassic World fans, who expressed their feelings in the YouTube comments section. A fan said, “I would love to see a Jurassic World movie from 65 million years ago. Only Dinosaurs.” Another said, “Honestly, watching those different scenes of dinosaurs and everyday routines felt kinda relaxing and calm to me; almost like an ASMR video. Especially w/o any soundtrack!” One more fan chimed in, “I like how the ancient Rexy had proto-feathers and the current one doesn’t because it wasn’t a complete genome and was filled with frog DNA. Nice detail I approve.”
