Filmmaker Hansal Mehta has fact-checked a news report that claimed his recently released show ‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story’, is the top-rated show on IMDb.
The filmmaker who called the news report “statistically inaccurate”, said the show is currently rated 21 on IMDb.
BBC’s Planet Earth II is the top-rated show on IMDb, followed by Planet Earth, Band of Brothers, Breaking Bad and Chernobyl.
Hansal Mehta’s ‘Scam 1992’ is rated 9.0 and is at the number 21 spot on IMDb’s list of the top 250 shows. It is placed just above The Twilight Zone.
Featuring Pratik Gandhi as Harshad Mehta, Scam 1992 follows the life of Harshad Mehta, a stockbroker who took the stock market by storm, whose journey ended with a catastrophic downfall.
The show also features Satish Kaushik, Shreya Dhanwanthary, among others.
The show was released on October 9 on SonyLiv.
