Who is Maria Bello?

Maria Bello is an actor and writer. She was born on April 18, 1967, in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Her father Joe Bello was a contractor and her mother Kathy was a school nurse and teacher.

Bello graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. She studied political science at Villanova University. After graduation, she worked in several New York theater productions.

Bello’s early television appearances include The Commish, Due South, Nowhere Man, Misery Loves Company and ER. Her major break came when she was picked as Mrs Smith in the TV series spy show Mr & Mrs Smith. However, the show was canceled after eight weeks.

The 55-year-old has been working in Hollywood for decades and is considered an acclaimed actor. She has acted in more than 60 projects since 1991, including Coyote Ugly, Lights Out, The Cooler, A History of Violence, Prisoners, Grown Ups, ER, and more.

Maria Bello is engaged to Dominique Crenn, a famous French chef. Crenn owns three Michelin-star restaurant, Atelier Crenn. During the 92nd Academy Awards in February 2020, Bella announced that she and Crenn got engaged on December 29, 2019, in Paris, France.

She has a son with her former boyfriend Dan McDermott.
