Amitabh Bachchan got nostalgic while shooting for his upcoming release ‘Mayday’
in Mumbai on Monday afternoon and he wants his fans to know why.
The veteran actor on Monday took to Instagram to share a trivia moment about the current shoot site which has an amazing link with his 1975 blockbuster movie, Deewar.
In a
series of images from the film’s current shoot site in Mumbai, Big B revealed that
it is the same location where the iconic scene from Deewar, where his brother
Ravi Verma( played by actor Shashi Tharoor) shoots Amitabh Bachchan (who played
the angry young gangster Vijay Verma in the movie), was shot.
“Deewar 1975 .. Mayday 2021 .. looking back in time .. the same corridor .. the same location .. so many film shoots here of several films of mine .. but today .. this came up,” Amitabh captioned the post.

In another post, Bachchan wrote, “Looking back on time .. see that arch in the stone building at the back .. in a shadow loop .. Police Officer Shashi Kapoor shoots his brother Vijay in DEEWAR at that spot in film .. today shooting same place for MAYDAY .. 42 years later .. Deewar made in 1979 to today 2021 ..Been a while !!”
Mayday, which is going to be a thriller drama, marks debut of Youtuber, Ajey Nagar, popularly known as CarryMinati and also features actor Rakulpreet and Ajay Devgn alongside Big B.
Earlier, Bachchan revealed that ‘Mayday’, which is also actor Ajay Devgn’s directorial project, makes him anxious. Sharing
his feelings with fans on day one of Mayday shoot, he wrote on social media,
“Dear Lord .. these first days on new films are always such a nightmare ..
Petrified and in constant apprehension .. wondering what shall happen and if it
happens will it be acceptable and passed .. Want to run away and hide”.
