Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay, who met with an accident, dies: Hospital

National Award-winning Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay, who met with an accident on Saturday, died at 3:34 am on Tuesday, Apollo Hospital, Bengaluru, said in a statement, ANI reported.
The actor was returning home from his friend’s place on Saturday when he met with an accident. He was being treated at Apollo Hospital in Bangalore where he breathed his last.
The hospital had issued a statement on Monday morning saying that he was showing signs of brain failure.
“A CT scan of the brain was done which showed very severe brain injury in addition to a subdural hematoma (brain bleeding). Immediate brain surgery was done to remove the brain hemorrhage. Currently, he is in the Neuro ICU with full life support. He continues to be in a coma state and is very critical. We are monitoring his medical condition constantly and are providing him with the best possible treatment,” the hospital had said in a statement on Monday.
Vijay made his acting debut with the 2011 Kannada film ‘Rangappa Hogbitna’. He played the role of a transgender in ‘Naanu Avanalla…Avalu’, for which he won the National Film Award for Best Actor.
