Kanye West, the award-winning musician, was in the news recently because of his anti-Semitic comments. As a result, Spanish luxury fashion brand Balenciaga cut ties with the rapper even though he and Demna Gvasalia, the brand’s creative director, have been close friends and partners over the past few years.

In an interview with host Tucker Carlson of Fox News, Kanye West said, “I prefer my kids knew Hannukah from Kwanzaa. At least it will come with some financial engineering.”

Some of his other anti-semitic comments were, “I just think that’s what they’re about, is making money.” This remark was made by West accusing Jaresh Kushner of negotiating the Abraham Accords in a bid to make money.

He also commented, “When I say Jew, I mean the 12 lost tribes of Judah, the blood of Christ, who the people known as the race Black really are. This is who our people are.”

Despite his recent anti-Semitic remarks popular streaming platform Netflix will continue streaming Kanye West’s documentary Jeen-Yuhs.

According to the reports of TMZ, the three-part documentary series will remain online because the streaming giant has no financial dealings with Kanye West and the movie does not contain any anti-Semitic rhetoric.

The documentary which was released earlier this year highlighted Kanye West’s personal life and career.

Many celebrities have also urged Adidas to cut ties with the 45-year-old rapper. Adidas, which has been manufacturing and selling Kanye West’s brand Yeezy for 10 years, put their relationship “under review,” although they haven’t yet addressed anything about his anti-semitic comments.

Kanye West also in an episode with Drink Champs said, “I can say anti-Semitic things, and Adidas can’t drop me. Now what? Now what?”

Adidas has not yet responded to the controversy. But in an Instagram story Kanye West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian criticized the father of her four children and stated that hate speech is “never OK or excusable.”

She wrote, “I stand together with the Jewish community and call on the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric towards them to come to an immediate end.” Her sisters Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and her mother Kris Jenner, also condemned Kanye West’s remarks and posted the same on their respective social media pages.
