Lee Sang-Yi to star as a variety show PD in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha

tvN released the stills of Lee Sang-Yi as Ji Sang-Hyun, a passionate variety show PD (producing director) in the upcoming TV show ‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’. The show is a romantic drama that will be available for streaming on Netflix.
Lee Sang-Yi will play the role of Ji Sang-Hyun, a star variety show PD who is famous for creating warm content featuring the everyday lives of common people. Sang-Hyun is a workaholic and has an easygoing personality.
Ji Sang-Hyun chooses the seaside town Gongjin for the shooting of his new program. There he gets entangled in the lives of Yoon Hye-jin (Shin Min-ah), Hong Doo-Shik (Kim Seon-ho) and the other residents of Gongjin.

In the stills released, Ji Sung-Hyun is shown wearing a light blue shirt and clean-cut pants. Ji Sang-Hyun is seen taking a photo unaware that he is on the verge of falling into the waterbody. Another image shows Ji Sang-Hyun looking at someone with a warm smile on his face.
According to Soompi, Lee Sang-Yi talking about his onscreen character said, “More than anything, [Ji Sung Hyun] is a character with passion. He is passionate about work, passionate about love, and passionate about people. I found Sung Hyun’s passion and genuineness to be his greatest charms.”

He further added, “His passion for work and love for food is similar to mine. Especially food. I really love eating. I want to continuously eat good food!”
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha will be directed by Yu Je-won and it was written by Shin Ha-Eun. The healing romantic comedy show will be produced by Studio Dragon. It is set to premiere on August 28, 2021, on weekends.
