Hamisha Daryani Ahuja’s first feature film ‘Namaste Wahala’ is set to debut on Netflix this Valentine’s Day. The cross-cultural love story shows a Nigerian woman falling in love with an Indian investment banker living in Lagos and the challenges they face to bring their families together.

With Valentine’s day around the corner, couples would be planning to watch some good romantic movies and cross-cultural love stories would be a way better option than watching some cliched romantic movie. Here are some cross-cultural love stories to watch this Valentine’s Day:

The Hundred Foot Journey

Directed by Lasse Hallstrom, the film tells the story of an Indian family setting up a restaurant across the street from a Michelin star French restaurant in France. The film has everything, from good food and romance to inter-cultural clashes.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona

The Woody Allen film shows two friends Vicky and Cristina going on a holiday in Spain and getting awed by painter Juan Antonio. Beautiful cinematography and brilliant performances by the actors makes it a must watch.

Before Sunrise

The 1995 film by Richard Linklater shows an American tourist and a French student meeting on the train from Budapest to Vienna and deciding to spend an evening together.
