Actor Anupam Kher, known to be a strong supporter of PM Narendra Modi, on Friday tweeted an 11-line Hindi poem taking a dig at critics. This comes days after he said the government “had slipped” in handling the COVID crisis that is sweeping the country.

“Only those who work make mistakes. Idlers waste their lives looking for shortcomings in others…,” he tweeted. This post is being seen as an attempt at damage control after recent remarks that were critical of the government.

He added that, “I think the criticism is valid in lots of cases.” Referring to bodies floating on the bank of ganga in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh he said, “Only an inhuman person will not get affected by the bodies floating. He also takes on the opposition party and further added that, “But for another political party to use it for their gain, I think that is also not right. I think we should, as people, get angry.”
