Rannvijay Singha quits Roadies, to be replaced by Sonu Sood: Report

For the past 18 years, Rannvijay Singha has been a member of the famous youth-based reality show Roadies. He has participated in the show in many capacities, including participant, host, and mentor. According to a Hindustan Times report, the actor has decided to part ways with the show.

According to Hindustan Times sources, he will not appear in the upcoming season of the reality programme. According to the source, “A new production house is helming the upcoming season. And Singha was not very pleased with the production house. They had to part ways.”

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Rannvijay Singha confirmed the same, saying, “The channel has been a vital pillar of my path, and I’ll be doing exciting work with them. On this edition of Roadies, things didn’t work out from both sides. Our dates were not matching and it is disheartening,” he says.

He said there were no issues with the production company, adding he has been working with the channel for 18 years and has done numberous shows over the years. “Production house aur mera koi taal mel hai nahi,” he added.

In addition, HT reported that actor Sonu Sood will fill Singha’s shoes. Surprisingly, he will be the lone mentor-host and the edition’s face this year. Because the show’s creators abandoned the premise of gang leaders, Neha Dhupia, Prince Narula, and others will not appear. The next season will be shot in South Africa and will premiere on February 14.
