Samantha to play bisexual woman in Downton Abbey director Philip Johns next

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, known for her power-packed performance as Raji in Raj Nidimoru’s The Family Man 2, is all set to hop on board with Downton Abbey’s director Philip John’s next international flick ‘Arrangements of Love’.

The winner of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has cast Prabhu as a bisexual Tamil woman who runs a detective agency in the upcoming film.

Produced by Sunitha Tati’s Guru Films, Arrangements of Love is Prabhu’s and Tati’s second movie together, after the hit “Oh Baby!”, a Telugu adaptation of Korean film “Miss Granny”.

Arrangements of Love is Prabhu’s first international project. She shared her excitement on her twitter handle, posting a picture of her in the movie poster and a picture of her with John.  

“A whole new world. Absolutely thrilled to be a part of Arrangements of Love. Thank you sir for picking me to be Anu. Can’t wait to begin this exciting journey…Thank you Sunitha Tati as always,” she wrote.

 Lots of good wishes and congratulatory messages poured in for Samantha’s new project. Samantha has earlier been an active part of the Tamil and Telugu film industry, bagging multiple Filmfare, Nandi and South Indian International Movie awards for her performances in movies like Manam, Ye Maaya Chesave and more.

Arrangements of Love is based on a book by the same name authored by Timeri N. Murari. Originally published in 2004, the book is a gripping story of a boy who goes on a quest to find his father after he visits his homeland.

Samantha also took to Instagram to express her excitement over joining John’s new project. She added how she was a big fan of Downton Abbey, a hit British drama series directed by John.

The shooting for the movie is said to begin around August 2022.
