Shah Rukh Khan ‘shaped my life, says Karan Johar in birthday message

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is celebrating his 56th birthday today. His friends, family, and fans from across the world are posting wishes and messages for their favorite superstar.
Shah Rukh and his family have had a challenging few weeks with his son Aryan Khan returning home on bail after being arrested in a drug case last month. Support has been flooding in for him from all sides. Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Salim Khan, Alvira Agnihotri, Seema Khan, Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Hrithik Roshan, and others stood beside Shah Rukh Khan during this time.

Karan Johar, a close friend of Shah Rukh, shared a collection of throwback pictures along with a note on the occassion. Johar, in his post, recalled the moment when he first met SRK on the sets of the movie Karan Arjun. The filmmaker talked about how meeting Shah Rukh Khan “shaped” his life.
Karan wrote that he met Shah Rukh on the sets of ‘Karan Arjun’ for the first time. He went along with his father to hang out with Kajol but he did not realised that he was going to meet a man who would go on to shape “my life, my career, and my very being”.

He said “Shah Rukh’s charisma and intelligence is a globally known fact but I have the privilege of witnessing his humanity and heart… An unmatchable father, a rock-solid husband, a loving brother, and an indispensable friend. He is all that and so much more. Love you so much Bhai.”
Karan Johar ended his note by saying: “May every Mannat of yours get answered and the abundant love you rightfully deserve keep coming your way… Happy birthday.”

Shah Rukh Khan has been a part of Karan Johar’s films ever since he made his debut as a director with ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ in 1998. Karan has directed Shah Rukh in films such as ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’, and ‘My Name Is Khan’. Karan Johar was Shah Rukh’s co-star in ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.
