Taylor Swift is back at it. The iconic singer-songwriter dropped a surprise bomb on September 17 as she revamped her popular ‘1989’ single ‘Wildest Dreams’, saying swifties inspired her to do so by getting the song trending on TikTok. This came as a massive surprise because, interestingly, the revamped version of her 2012’s Red collection was slated to drop next on November 19.
The new release is sung by her along with Christopher Rowe and Shellback. Unlike the original version, Max Martin wasn’t a part of the re-recording. ‘Wildest Dreams’ has been buzzing on TikTok lately as Swifties have been using the single on their video clips while trying the new slow zoom filter. Taylor Swift posted on TikTok on Friday, “Someone said slow zoom makes you look like the main character I said make it Taylor’s Version pls #wildestdreamstaylorsversion #swifttok #slowzoom.”

She later tweeted, “Saw you guys got Wildest Dreams trending on tiktok, thought you should have my version.”
As for the revamped version of ‘Red’, Taylor revealed in a personal letter, in June, that the re-recording process of the album made her feel a plethora of emotions altogether and that it healed her along the way.

“Musically and lyrically, Red resembled a heartbroken person,” she explained. “It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild and tortured by memories past. Like trying on pieces of a new life, I went into the studio and experimented with different sounds and collaborators. And I’m not sure if it was pouring my thoughts into this album, hearing thousands of your voices sing the lyrics back to me in a passionate solidarity, or if it was simple time, but something was healed along the way.”
