Hollywood actor Jennifer Aniston, who plays the role of Alex Levy in Apple TV+‘s ‘The Morning Show’, thinks that it’s time for her character to heal from the past and find love.
In a recent interview with Variety, Aniston said that her character “could put the controls down and go into the vulnerability of opening up her heart, which I don’t think she’s ever really quite done.”
“I think it’s time to see Alex find some love and some passion,” the 53-year-old actor said, adding that she wants her character to build more friendships.
“She needs a good girlfriend! Chip is Chip, but come on. We need her to go out and have a girls’ night — and not well. Messy! I want to see her go to the supermarket and just walk around the world and get out of her ivory tower a little bit,” Aniston said.
While the ‘Friends’ star did not give away too many details about the upcoming season, she said that it would be exciting for the show to dig deep into the life Alex left behind and “explore a little bit of where she’s come from.”
“What are those parents like? What did they do? What was her life 20 years ago like? How does someone become this motivated person that wants to be relevant at all costs? I’d like to see some history,” Aniston said.

‘The Morning Show’ will continue its pattern of revolving around a large societal theme in its third season, similar to how the first and second seasons focused on the Me Too movement and COVID-19, respectively. However, Aniston seems to be keeping the newest theme under the wraps.

“I can’t say much. It’s a great opportunity to be able to shine a light on areas that are very frustrating and a fear of where we’re going as a society. We try to shed some sort of light on it, and comment on it a little bit. It’s a deep well at this point,” she concluded.
