Grammy-winning  French electronic-music duo Daft Punk announced their split through a video called ‘Epilogue’ after almost 30 years. Fans were heartbroken and took to social media to express their grief and bid adieu to the legendary duo.

In the social media posts, fans not only remembered their songs, but also the duo’s live performances, particularly the legendary 2006 Coachella performance.

According to We Rave You, several festivals tried to book Daft Punk, but failed to dos so. Coachella organisers approached the duo’s management and while they were initially rejected, an agreement was finally reached after the amount of money was significantly raised.

During the show that was organised in a desert, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo appeared in their usual shiny helmets and gloves and performed a set that is still considered as one of the greatest electronic performances in history.

Famously known as the ‘Pyramid’ performance, Daft Punk started their performance with ‘Robot Rock.’ Not only their epic set, but also the pyramid structure in which they performed set an example and inspired future producers.

Famous producer Skrillex told We Rave You, “I didn’t have a drink, no drugs. But I was high out of my mind. It changed my life.”
