Sumona Chakravarti reveals she’s unemployed, battling endometriosis

TV actor Sumona Chakravarti, popularly known for playing the role of Sarla Gulati in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, has opened about the emotional toll that the coronavirus-induced lockdown has taken on her. 

On Friday, she took to Instagram to share about her varied emotions that she is going through amid the lockdown. In the post, she revealed that currently she is unemployed but still in a privileged position to be able to feed her family.

Sumona also revealed that she has been battling endometriosis since 2011, a disorder in which the tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside the uterus. “Something I’ve never shared before. I have been battling endometriosis since 2011. Been in stage IV for many years now. A good eating habit, exercise and most importantly no stress is key to my well being. The lockdown has been emotionally hard for me,” she added.

 She decided to share her ordeal with fans to let people know that everyone is struggling and fighting something in their lives at this point and talked about the mental health crisis because of COVID 19 lockdown.

Sumona has also acted in films,  like ‘Barfi!’ and ‘Kick’. She was last seen in The Kapil Sharma Show.
