‘Was terrorised all these days’: Kangana Ranaut as she leaves Mumbai
- Actor Kangana Ranaut said that her comment on PoK was 'bang on'
- She had compared the Shiv Sena-ruled Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir
- This had landed her in a war of words with the party
Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut, who has found herself in the midst of a controversy with Maharashtra’s ruling party Shiv Sena, announced her departure from Mumbai on Tuesday. She went to Mumbai from her hometown in Himachal Pradesh on September 9 after being involved in a verbal spat with MP Sanjay Raut, over her comment comparing Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
“With a heavy heart leaving Mumbai, the way I was terrorised all these days constant attacks and abuses hurled at me attempts to break my house after my work place, alert security with lethal weapons around me, must say my analogy about POK was bang on,” Kangana wrote in a tweet as she announced her departure.
The ‘Queen’ actor had arrived to the city when her Pali Hills office was being demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for ‘illegal’ construction. She alleged that the action was politically motivated, as she had spoken up against the ruling party.
Kangana’s departure comes a day after she met state’s governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to discuss her issues with him. Taking to Twitter, she wrote, “A short while ago I met His Excellency the Governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari Ji. I explained my point of view to him and also requested that justice be given to me it will restore faith of common citizen and particularly daughters in the system.”
