Who is Karissa Shannon? Ex-Playboy Bunny aborted Hugh Hefner’s child at 19, calls him ‘devil’

Playboy Bunny Karissa Shannon made an explosive statement, saying that she was “disgusted” when she found out that she was “carrying the devil’s child.” The model just wanted to have an abortion after she found out that she was pregnant with Hugh Hefner’s child. 

She moved in into the Playboy mansion in 2008 with Hefner, a controversial magazine publisher, with her twin sister Kristina, after being lured by him, The Sun says. The following year, Shannon found out that she was pregnant after going through a series of blood tests. She was reportedly terrified that Hefner would find out that he had impregnated her.

She was afraid of what the world would think about the six-decade age difference between the two. “I just wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible. I didn’t want Hef to find out and he never did,” Shannon spoke about how she was desperate to get an abortion, “It was like the devil was inside of me. I didn’t want anyone to know I was carrying an 83-year-old man’s child.”

Who is Karissa Shannon?

Playboy model Karissa Shannon was born on October 2, 1989 in  Ann Arbor, Michigan. Shannon is known for her role in The Girl Next Door. 

Shannon has a twin sister, Kristen Shannon, who is also a former Playboy playmate. The two appeared as Miss July and Miss August 2009 in the combined “summer issue” of Playboy magazine, the double issue being published due to financial struggles.

The two had small roles in Somewhere, a film helmed by Sofia Coppola, which won top honors at the 67th Venice International Film Festival in 2010. On January 5, 2012, the two participated in the ninth series of the UK reality show, Celebrity Big Brother in which they finished fifth. 

The two were in public scrutiny during their relationship with Playboy magazine founder Hugh Heffner, which they described as fun and the opportunity to be on the show, rather than romance.
