Alex O’Connor, better known as Rex Orange County, issued a statement on Thursday stating that all sexual harassment charges against him had been withdrawn. Alex O’Connor was in a relationship with Thea Morgan Murrel from 2015 to 2020. 

In London, the artist was accused of six charges of sexual assault on a woman. According to the Sun, O’Connor was charged with abusing the victim six times between June 1 and 2, 2022.

Who is Thea Morgan Murrel?

Thea Morgan-Murrell is an English singer and social media influencer. Murrel was born on August 16, 1998, in London, England.

She enrolled in the BRIT school to study music, where she received a 4-year music education. In May 2018, she released her debut single Grandfather Clock as a singer.

Thea Morgan-amazing Murrell’s vocal performance brings a new dimension to the mainstream music industry. She sang live songs in a concert at KOKO London in February 2018. She claimed in an interview that her entire family is a musical ensemble.

She dated Rex Orange County, whose 2017 album Apricot Princess was dedicated to her. 

In London, the artist was accused with six charges of sexual assault on a lady. According to the Sun, O’Connor was charged with abusing the victim six times between June 1 and 2, 2022. The woman alleged that the musician assaulted her twice in the West End, three times at his Notting Hill house, and once in a taxi.

He entered a not guilty plea at Southwark Crown Court and was scheduled to stand trial on January 23, 2023. According to a statement released by him on Thursday, December 22, all allegations against him have now been dismissed.

“Today, all charges against me have been dropped,” O’Connor said.

“The Crown Prosecution Service reviewed the evidence and decided that there is no merit in this case going to trial. I have always denied these allegations and am grateful that the independent evidence has cleared me of any wrongdoing. I have never assaulted anyone and I do not condone violence or abusive behavior of any kind,” he added.
