Keith’s son, Wes told Entertain Tonight, “He passed away this afternoon. He’d been battling cancer for the past few months and we found out about it in January.”

Keith’s brother, Kevin told the outlet: “A life taken way too soon! It happened so quickly. Cancer ate him up. He Passed this afternoon at his home in Shreveport, Louisiana.”

Who was Keith Nale?

Keith appeared on Survivor: San Juan del Sur, along with his son in 2014. He got evicted from the show after he made it to the final four competition. However, Keith did not give up and the following year, he was back on the show — which was then called Survivor: Cambodia. However, disappointment struck him again as he nearly made it to the finals before getting voted off again.

For those who don’t follow the show, Survivor isolates a group of strangers on an island where contestants have to compete in endurance challenges to avoid elimination. People are booted off the show through voting until only the winner is left standing.
